New for 2026 we are launching our Mentorship Program for women who want to take their motorcycle test in Cyprus.

Why women only? We are a women-only motorcycle club and want to support other women who may wish to learn how to ride.

What Our Mentorship Program includes (and what it doesn’t…)

 

Motorcycle Tests In Cyprus

Includes a full explanation of the motorcycle license stages, application for your first stage (the A1 test). Payment for your first test is covered, but should you fail, subsequent tests will have to be paid separately.

NOTE: application for a provisional license, the cost of the license and obtaining a learners permit are not covered under this program, however we can help you with the application process.

Motorcycle Training For Your Test

Includes a 1 hour assessment lesson followed by 8 hours of training for your test. Includes 1 pre-examination practice on the road focused on known examination routes. Includes use of a motorcycle for your training and your test.

Topics covered are: motorcycle basics, slow speed control, emergency braking, cornering, road preparation.

The training provided in this program is enough to take your test. Should you wish for extra lessons, these are not covered under this program but can be organised separately with your instructor at an additional cost.

NOTE: cost of issue of your license once you pass is not covered under this program, however we can help you with the process.

Clothing

Basic motorcycle clothing will be provided for your training and your test including: helmet, gloves, jackets, knee protectors.

Not provided, but suggested as a minimum:

  • jeans or other heavy-duty material trousers
  • boots or trainers (no or minimal heel)

The Island Angels have discounts at many Cyprus motorcycle clothing stores, so should you wish to purchase your own clothing and equipment, we can help you shop and give you advice!

Support Group

Includes membership to The Island Angels club for the current calendar year. This is where you can get support and help with any questions you may have. A group of like-minded women, we’ve all been through this process, so happy to help you learn from our combined knowledge. Plus, it doesn’t hurt having the whole group cheering you on!

Mechanical Check

Should you wish to purchase your own motorcycle our mentorship includes one mechanical check by a trained motorcycle mechanic. Plus, you get the group’s input on where to buy, how to buy and suggestions on suitable first bikes.

Advance Training

It doesn’t stop at passing your test. Once you’ve got over the excitement and have been out on the road by yourself, it’s time to learn some essential riding skills to keep you as safe as you can be on the road. 

Includes one advanced riding lesson (usually 2-3 hours depending upon the topic). The lesson includes theory and practical. Extra lessons are not included but can be booked separately.   

Important: You must be of legal riding age: 17 or over at the time of the training.
